My Story
Over the past 20 years, I have launched over a dozen side hustles, websites and companies, some in as little as over a weekend, others as longer pursuits. Among them, and undoubtedly my largest undertaking was Jumpstart magazine, a start-up focused publication that I launched while living in Hong Kong. Jumpstart covered a wide spectrum of start-up and technology trends from wearable technology, advanced manufacturing, mobile applications, education, food, fashion and entrepreneurship trends around the world. I ran it largely singlehandedly managing everything from launching/maintaining a robust website, cover-to-cover content development, distribution at over 400 locations, startup interviews, hosting startup events, taking part in speaking engagements and managing hundreds of details involved in running a publication. With Jumpstart underway, I also launched Jumpstart Kids, a start-up bootcamp to inspire the next generation of entrepreneur kids. Both Jumpstart and Jumpstart Kids are alive and well under new ownership who has expanded the brand to over 35 cities across 11 countries in Asia.
Consulting: Over the last 20 years, I consulted for numerous startups, solopreneurs, and well-known brands, see some of their logos below. In working with these companies, some of the activities that I supported include:
Website launches and redesign
Marketing consulting + execution (SEO, Paid Search, Email, Social Media, Affiliate)
Content Development (Web Content, Case Studies, Blogs)
Viral Marketing Ideas to help with PR/SEO efforts
Growing Online Communities (I am an admin of several large groups),
Photography and Video Editing
Event Organizing
Web/Graphic Design
Managing projects, talent and offshore teams
Giving back is at the core of many of my projects. The Jumpstart Kids initiative resulted in crowdfunding of a kids book, had all of the proceeds donated to an animal shelter. The Jumpstart magazine ran a “pay what you wish” advertising program to empower even the most cash-strapped entrepreneurs to participate. And as an admin to a large community on Facebook, I actively raise money for legal help for refugees through sponsored posts, raising over 4K to date. Most recently, a one-week crowdfunding campaign through the same channel, raised enough funds to import face masks and purchase other supplies for a local hospital at the start of COVID-19.

“Went above and beyond in our session. She researched our brand before speaking to us and even picked out some potential business partners for us. She clearly has lots of knowledge to share and was able to quickly think of solutions and suggestions off the top of her head. This short session has provided us with lots of useful information and marketing tactics that we are going to be using in the future. “
